At GETS we took part as sponsors of the UNITECNAR CODE ARENA 2026 Programming Marathon, the challenge hosted by the Fundación Universitaria Antonio de Arévalo (UNITECNAR) where Cartagena's young talent put their logic to the test under a motto that says it all: algorithms under pressure: think, design, optimize and win.
Congratulations, champions!
We proudly congratulate the marathon winners, students of Systems Engineering at Universidad de Cartagena:
- Alejandro Alfonso Ruiz López
- Breiner Bautista Lozada
Their effort, teamwork and ability to solve problems under pressure are exactly what the region's tech industry needs.
The GETS prize: one year of Cloud Hosting
As sponsors, we gave the winners one year of Cloud Hosting so they can take their code to the next level: the cloud. The prize includes:
- Warranty, service and support throughout the year.
- Onboarding on use and deployment, so they can publish their projects in the cloud from day one.
It is the same service used by the companies that trust GETS. See our hosting, domain and email plans.
A marathon with a purpose
The 2026 edition connected programming with the city's challenges through six themes: artificial intelligence, digital sustainability, accessibility and inclusion, smart mobility, public safety and digital education. At GETS we believe in collaboration between industry and academia, and we will keep supporting the spaces where the talent that transforms technology from Cartagena is trained.
Thank you to UNITECNAR for organizing this challenge and to every team that took part.
