What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI model like Claude use external tools and data. GETS builds an MCP server for Odoo that exposes only authorized actions: looking up products, creating leads, quoting, creating orders or opening tickets.

And the API?

Odoo's external API lets other programs read and write data in the ERP. It is included in Odoo's Custom plan. With it we connect:

• Banks and payment gateways.
• Marketplaces and shipping carriers.
• Mobile apps with your brand.
• Systems your business already uses and doesn't want to replace.

Security first

Each integration has its own user and minimum permissions. Sensitive actions require human approval and everything is logged.
